Another year over . . .

So finally, 2016 has come to an end, with December being no less busy than previous months in my Masonic and personal calendar.

Rose Croix CollarI have attended two excellent Perfection ceremonies in my District, at Mark Wilkinson Chapter in Darwen on 6th December and Bethel Chapter at Rawtenstall on 10th December. Both candidates I am pleased to say are at the younger end of the age scale for the Rose Croix Degree and I hope will have many happy years as members of our very special Order.

Elsewhere, I installed the Master Elect at Shuttleworth Council of the Allied Masonic Degrees in Burnley – our last meeting at that venue before our move to Colne Masonic Hall in March, visited a Rose Croix Chapter in Preston, attended the Mark Grand Stewards’ Lodge installation meeting, Royal Ark Mariner Grand Rank Investiture and Quarterly Communication of Grand Lodge in London, quickly followed by a weekend in London with Sue, when we were guests of the Supreme Council for Christmas drinks and nibbles at 10 Duke Street.

To round off the month, Sue and I had a fantastic short break in Cornwall, staying at the Godolphin Arms in Marazion with a sea-view room overlooking St. Michael’s Mount, lots of fresh air, seafood and general relaxation. Roll on 2017!
