As there were no Rose Croix Chapter meetings in the North East Lancashire District in September, it was a real joy to catch up on visits in the Craft, Royal Arch, Mark and Allied Masonic Degrees (including a trip to London for the Quarterly Communications of Grand Mark Lodge and UGLE at Great Queen Street) as well as to pay two very special visits to Rose Croix Chapters in other Districts.
Early in the month, I travelled to the Oakham Suite in Mansfield to attend the Annual Meeting of the Nottinghamshire District and what a joy it was to see V.Ill.Bro. Michael Page, the Inspector General for Nottinghamshire, back on his feet after a long illness.
At the very end of the month there was another ‘away match’ with a trip to Carlisle for the consecration of Dunmail Chapter No.1211, as always a wonderful spectacle and superb teamwork by the members and officials of Supreme Council.
Finally, to round off what had been a very busy month (including a week’s holiday in Cornwall and Sussex with my wife), there was the Enthronement meeting of the East Lancashire Chapter No.440 in Manchester, where I was appointed Second General. Must keep the diary free for 30th November 2018 when I am due to be enthroned as MWS!
